Water service has been restored after a water main break on Hudson Street in Hartford.
Kerry Martin of the Metropolitan District says crews shut down the main at 7 a.m. and the shutdown affected 13 multi-family homes from Hudson Street to Park Road. Service was restored around 12:30 p.m.
The six-inch water main was installed in 1854. Repairs took several hours and MDC had projected service to be restored between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Martin said MDC’s water wagon was on site for those affected by the break for the duration of the work.
