Emergency crews have responded to a water main break on Martin Luther King Drive in New Britain and the road is closed between North and Winter streets.
Water is flowing out of the main and is bubbling into the street.
Low temperatures pose the threat of water icing over so public works crews have been sanding the roads.
If you are traveling in the area, use Route 9 instead of Route 71.
