A 32-year-old Wolcott man is in critical condition after hitting a tree early Thursday morning.
Police said Kyle Boutot was alone in a station wagon when he hit a tree at Todd Road and Knollwood Drive just before 1 a.m.
Members of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department pulled Boutot from the wagon and he was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Police said they do not known why Boutot’s vehicle left the road.
The Naugatuck Valley Regional Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
