Wolcott officials rescued this bird from Todd Road on Thursday morning.
The Wolcott Dog Pound said the sewer and water department "jumped into action" and quickly covered the bird before safely getting him into a resident's yard until the pound was able to show up.
The bird was treated at the Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital before being released.
