Woman Found With 907 Bags of Heroin: Police

Connecticut State Police went to help a woman after receiving reports that she was passed out in a car in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Putnam and said they found more than 900 bags of heroin.

When police went to check on Melissa M. Wagner, 27, of Putnam, at 3:06 p.m. on Thursday, she was outside her car and admitted to having a large amount of heroin, according to state police.

Troopers found and seized 907 bags of heroin, .7 grams of crack cocaine, seven sublingual suboxone strips, one suboxone 8 milligram pill, used hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia, police said.

Wagner has been charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $50,000 and she is due in court on May 19.
