Woman Reported Missing in 1990 was Murdered

Police have determined that Marie Andree Joseph, 21, was killed.

The woman whose skull was found two decades ago was murdered, Stamford police are saying for the first time, and they're asking for the public's help in a new effort to solve the case.

Marie Andree Joseph, 21, was last seen alive in December 1990 and her skull was found less than a year later near a company where the father of her two children worked.

The Advocate of Stamford reports that new DNA tests last year confirmed the skull was Joseph's and police are now identifying her as a murder victim.

Police had focused their investigation on Andre Lubin, the father of Joseph's children, but never charged him.

The Bridgeport resident told The Advocate he wasn't involved in Joseph's death. He's now a school bus driver in Greenwich.
