Man Accused of Making Girlfriend Eat Dirt

A Morris man is accused of forcing his girlfriend to eat dirt during an argument.

A Morris man told his girlfriend to eat dirt, then shoved some in her mouth, police said.

The woman told cops that she and Alan Gamache, 43, got into an argument Tuesday night outside their home, and said he pushed her to the ground, grabbed a handful of dirt and told her to eat it.

Then, when they were inside the house, Gamache kicked her in the stomach, she claims.

The charges against him include assault and violating a protective order. It was the second time he was charged with assaulting the woman.

Gamache appeared in court on Wednesday and was held on $25,000 bond.

Gamache's lawyer says his client denies the allegations, and claims the woman has lied to authorities in the past.
