Sexual Assault Reported at Yale Fraternity House

Yale University Police sent out a campus-wide alert today after receiving the report that a student was sexually assaulted at a fraternity house earlier this month.

According to a campus-wide email from Yale University Police Chief Ronnell A. Higgins, the police department received an anonymous tip today that a student sexually assaulted another student Feb. 8 at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house at 31 High Street in New Haven.

The victim and attacker were acquaintances, according to university police. It’s not clear if the alleged attacker is a member of the fraternity.

Students who are aware of similar incidents or who have been victims themselves are urged to call Yale University Police at 203-432-4400.
