Police, K9 Lead Upset Family From Courtroom

There was a huge outburst in the courtroom on Monday as $1 million bond was set for  Jose Medina, 20, of West Hartford, who police stopped on Jan. 1 after a three-town chase.

Police took him into custody in West Hartford after a chase through Hartford, East Hartford and Glastonbury.

Charges are pending in relation to double-homicides on Saturday morning of Lionel Roldan, 24, of Manchester, and Luis Rivera, 20, of Hartford.

As Medina appeared in court,  the families of Rodan and Rivera appeared, wearing badges that said, "In Loving Memory of Paolo and Tico, January 1, 2011.

"You left a kid without a father," one family member said.

"Burn in hell," another yells and court officers brought in extra security, including K9, to move an upset family from the courtroom.
