Arrest Made After Man Was Found Stabbed in New Haven

Police have made an arrest after a man was found stabbed and bleeding in the middle of a road in New Haven on Saturday.

Officers say they spotted a man lying in the middle of the road on Sherman Avenue. The man had been stabbed and was covered in blood, and was going in and out of consciousness. An ambulance rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.

According to police, the 45-year-old New Haven man was able to tell them who stabbed him.

Officers searched for the crime scene and learned it covered a large area between Sherman Avenue and Hudson Street. A nearby business's surveillance camera captured the assault, police say.

Detectives secured an arrest warrant for 52-year-old Herman Arthur Keen of New Haven. He turned himself into police on Tuesday night.

Keen is facing charges including assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of peace.
