For years, women were advised to be screened for breast cancer by getting routine mammograms.

New federal guidelines say women should get a mammogram, however, say women, ages 40 to 49, should not be routinely screened unless they are at-risk for breast cancer, and women between 50 and 74 should only be screened every two years.
