State Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place just before noon on Friday in Dayville.
An alarm went off at the First Niagara Bank at 1078 Main St. just before noon after a man wearing a blue New York Yankees hat and a dark green jacket slipped the teller a note demanding money, police said.
The man stole an undisclosed amount of cash and ran toward a shopping plaza.
Police and K-9 teams responded to the bank immediately to search for the robbery but did not find him.
The man did not show a gun and no one was injured in the incident.
State police ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to call 860-779-4900. All calls will be kept confidential.
