Bank Robbery Suspect Found Hiding in Bristol Attic

A man suspected in a bank robbery in Brookfield was found hiding in an attic in Bristol early Monday morning.

Police said they responded to a home on Beacon Street at 2:45 a.m. to investigate a felon hiding in the attic of a garage and found Daniel A. Rodriguez, 25, whose last known address was in Bethel.

They took him into custody on two outstanding arrest warrants for failure to appear in the first degree and violation of probation.

Police said Rodriguez was charged in a bank robbery in Brookfield in February and posted bond, but didn’t show up for a court appearance, so the failure to appear charge was added.

He is also accused of failed to follow terms of his probation, which prompting his probation officer to get a warrant.

Rodriguez was held on a $75,000 bond for the failure to appear charge and a $25,000 bond for the violation of probation charge.

He is due in Bristol Superior Court this morning.
