Someone hit a bear on Interstate 84 eastbound in the New Britain area and state police are warning residents to watch out for them as they do other wildlife.
The bear was struck sometime this morning or overnight and state police responded, along with officials from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, who took the bear.
If you hit a deer or bear and have damage to your vehicle or your vehicle becomes disabled, call police for assistance.
They urge people not to get out of their vehicle.
