A 48-year-old bicyclist who sustained serious injuries during a crash in East Haven last week has died, according to police.
Police said they responded to Forbes Place at 4:15 p.m. last Wednesday to investigate after a car and bicycle collided and the 48-year-old man on the bike, Dominic Mongillo, of New Haven, had serious injuries.
He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital and police said on Tuesday night that Mongillo has died.
The 23-year-old man who was driving the car was not injured, police said.
Police are still investigating and have not filed charges.
