Police are investigating after a woman's body was found floating in the water in New London on Wednesday morning.
Dispatchers took a call reporting a possible body floating in the water underneath the City Pier around 10:22 a.m., officers said.
When first responders arrived, police said they did find the body of a woman who appeared to be in her mid-to-late 50s floating in the water between the boat dock and the pier.
Officials have not released the woman's identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
