Bomb Threat Evacuates 3 Courthouses

A bomb threat forced New Haven police to evacuate three courthouses on Tuesday afternoon.

The bomb threat was made just before 4 p.m., and the courthouses at 141 Church St, 121 Elm St. and 235 Church St, were emptied.

The jury in the federal corruption trial of developer James Botti was sent home at 4:30 p.m., the New Haven Register reports. The jury has been deliberating since Thursday and did not reach a verdict before going home, the newspaper reports.
