A 17-month old boy was taken to the hospital after being burned at a campsite at Rocky Neck State Park in Niantic Saturday morning.
According to state Environmental Conservation police, the boy fell against a Dutch oven his family was using to cook breakfast. East Lyme Emergency Services responded around 9:30 a.m. The child was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London with moderate but non-life threatening burns.
The family is from Middlebury.
