16-Year-Old Boy Stabbed Twice on Subway Platform in Manhattan

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed twice on a Manhattan subway platform by a group of about eight men, authorities say.

A call about the stabbing on the northbound C train platform at 96th Street and Columbus Circle came in shortly before 2 a.m. Monday. It wasn't clear if there was an argument and robbery or even words exchanged prior to the stabbing, but the boy was cut once in the torso and once under the arm. 

He was taken to a hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive. 

Police say the attackers are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
