Branford Man Stalked Teenage Girls: Cops

The 23-year-old allegedly invited the girls to perform lewd acts online.

Police arrested 23-year-old Michael Azarro of Branford on Saturday for allegedly using the Internet to stalk and entice teenage girls.

Police said Azarro would encourage the girls to become his girlfriend online and then invite them to engage in various sexual acts.

Police began their investigation when a parent discovered an online conversation between Azzaro and their daughter. The investigation expanded to include other minors who had similar contact with Azzaro.

Detectives said all of the females were under the age of 16 at the time of contact.

Azzaro faces nine counts of risk of injury and impairing the moral of a minor, 12 counts of disorderly conduct and eight counts of enticing a minor, according to police.

He is being held on $250,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 9 in New Haven.
