Branford Police Search for Vehicle That Hit Bicyclist

Police in Branford, Connecticut are asking for the public's help to locate a pickup they said was involved in a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist seriously injured on Sunday.

Police said a man driving a 2013 white Ford F250 pickup hit a bicyclist on East Main Street (Route 1), near the intersection of Featherbed Lane, around 8:20 a.m. then left the scene and went east on Route 1.

The bicyclist, a 52-year-old Branford woman, was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital, according to police. She is in serious, but stable condition, police said Monday.

Officers are asking for help to locate the truck, which has CT plate 8334C2 and driver. Police said the pickup has damage to the passenger side headlight area.
