Bristol Police Warn Residents to Lock Vehicles

Bristol police are warning residents to lock their cars after a number of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

Police say the thefts occurred in several residential neighborhoods. Residents are reminded to lock vehicles and remove valuables from view to avoid becoming a target.

Suspicious activity can be reported to the Bristol Police Department by calling (860) 584-3011.

Bristol is one of many towns to issue similar warnings in the past few weeks, including Simsbury, South Windsor, Tolland, Vernon, Wethersfield and Windsor.
