Busted Out Of The Pound

It was a jailbreak, dog style. Two police departments are on the lookout for a pitbull that was busted out of the pound.

Police in Seymour and Naugatuck are searching for Daisy, a pitbull that was taken from the Seymour Animal Shelter on Silvermine Road in March.  The 2-to-3-year-old female pitbull, was on death row, police said, set to be euthanized on a judge's order.  The white dog with a brown spot on her head was quarantined at the town's animal shelter while her owner was appealing.

Apparently Daisy's bite was as bad as her bark when it came to interaction with other animals.  Naugatuck residents filed several complaints claiming that Daisy was "animal agressive" and had even attacked neighbors' pets.

Police believe Daisy is still in Connecticut and possibly living on the lam with someone who doesn't want to see her to die.
