Even hip-hop stars are feeling the pinch of the economy.
Rapper and music mogul 50 cent is having trouble selling his mega-mansion in Farmington. 50, also known as Curtis Jackson III, first put the Poplar Hill Rd. home on the market in April of 2007. It's asking price then was $18.5 Million. But it still hasn't sold, and 50 cent has been forced to drop the price to a "more reasonable" $14.5 Million.
In case you're interested, here's a rundown of what you'll get for that $14.5 Million. The house is 50,000 square feet on 17.6 acres. It has 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, 14 half-baths, four whirlpools, a sauna, a hot tub, a movie theater, and a guesthouse. It's been featured on MTV's "Cribs." and was once owned by boxer Mike Tyson.
One last thing, be prepared to pay about $100,000 in property taxes a year if you buy it.
