NBC Connecticut meteorologists have issued two First Alerts for wintry weather expected Friday and again on Sunday.
Temperatures will dip Thursday night before a wintry mix moves in for Friday morning. As much as two inches of snow is possible as well as sleet and rain before the storm ends.
The snow and sleet will come during the morning commute time, which could lead to some school delays.
The second shot of wintry weather arrives late Saturday evening and continues into Sunday.
Still several days out, what we know now is that there will be a powerful storm that moves toward Connecticut.
The biggest question now is what type of storm will it be? That all depends on the track it takes. A track farther north would result in a wintry mix or even all rain.
A track to the south could bring us a significant snowstorm.
Either way, the NBC Connecticut meteorologists will be keeping a close eye on the forecast and bring you the latest information as we get it.
