A car had to be removed from Pine Creek in Fairfield after a driver trying to park in his garage inadvertently accelerated and landed in the water.
Police said it happened Friday around 3:30 p.m. The driver told police he was trying to park when he accelerated. The car went through the garage, out the back of the house, and into the creek. The driver and his dog were not hurt.
The Fairfield Dive Team responded to remove the car from the water.
