Case Continued for Hartford Administrator Accused of Inappropriate Texts

A former Hartford Public Schools administrator who resigned amid a police investigation into inappropriate texts with a minor is due in court in July after his case was continued on Wednesday.

Fifty-seven-year-old Eduardo Genao, of Hamden, was the former executive director for compliance for the school district and has been charged with one count of risk of injury to a minor.

After Genao resigned in April, a school spokesperson said they were fully cooperating with investigators and the investigation does not involve any other staff members or students in Hartford.

Genao worked for Hartford schools since 2005.

Genao is due back in court on July 13.
