Celebrate Connecticut Day at the Big E

Today is “Connecticut Day” at the Big E, which celebrates all things New England, including our local foods and Connecticut-made products.

The Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts, now in its 99th year, is one of the largest fairs in the United States.

Prize-winning livestock and produce are showcased at the fair, along with a variety of entertainment, carnival rides and tasty treats.

Each of New England’s six states are represented at the fair in the form of replicas of their original respective statehouses.

The Big E is back and the food is crazier than ever!

Inside of Connecticut’s building, you’ll find booths showcasing a variety of businesses from all over the Nutmeg State, including “Lego,” “Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza,” “Pez” and “J. Foster’s Ice Cream”

The Big E will run until Oct. 4.
