Checking Dorms Before Students Return

University of Hartford students remain displaced.

University of Hartford hopes to resume all classes on Monday.

On Friday approximately 1,700 undergraduates remain displaced from their dorms because of the power outage on the West Hartford Campus.

Before students can move back into Regents Park, Park River and Village Apartments, the safety systems in each building must be inspected by the fire marshal. According to the school, students will be notified when the move-in can begin.

Because the college is located in several towns, most of the campus does have power.

University of Hartford officials said most of the buildings on campus are fed by electrical lines from Hartford, which were not disrupted by the storm.

Graduate day and evening classes are being held on their normal schedules and Saturday classes will be held as scheduled.
