Christopher Columbus Statue in Middletown Damaged With Paint

Police are looking for the people responsible.

Someone spray-painted the Christopher Columbus statue in Middletown early on the morning of Oct. 15, the day after Columbus Day, and police are trying to identify the people who are responsible. 

Police said the statue was damaged around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 15 and “Lies,” “redrum” and “rapist” were painted in red.
