A man is arrested after fighting with a Bon Ton security official who confronted him after he shoplifted $249-worth of cologne in Hamden.
Juan Lopez-Sanchez, 41, of New Haven, left the store with the cologne and a store security official approached him outside the 2300 Dixwell Avenue store after seeing him leave with merchandise he hadn't purchased. A fight ensued.
Hamden police arrested Lopez-Sanchez on scene and charged him with third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He is due in Meriden Superior Court on June 5.
