Connecticut Becomes Major Political Stomping Ground

Connecticut is at the center of the political world as we approach Election Day and several well-known politicians are heading our way.

On Friday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was in Meriden to campaign for Republican 5th District Congressional candidate Sam Caligiuri. They toured Suzio Concrete.

On Saturday, President Barack Obama will be in Bridgeport for the Get Out the Vote Rally at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. The event is free and open to the public, but space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors open at 1 p.m. and the rally starts at 2 p.m. and continues to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, former-President Bill Clinton will campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dan Malloy at Chase Arena at the University of Hartford. The rally is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Also on Sunday, Clinton will host a rally for congressman Jim Himes at the Sono Field House in Norwalk. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. and continues to 10:30 p.m.
