While preliminary estimates show Connecticut lost 500 net jobs in November, the state's employment numbers have grown by 23,000 over the past year.
The Department of Labor estimates Connecticut's unemployment rate in November declined by one-tenth, to 4.1 percent.
Andy Condon, director of the agency's Office of Research, says Connecticut's jobless rate "continues to trend down into full employment territory" and nearly all super-sectors are showing annual growth, with the exception of trade and information.
The monthly report estimates Connecticut now has recovered 91.3 percent of the non-farm jobs lost during the recession. The state needs an additional 10,400 net new jobs in order to reach overall employment expansion.
Connecticut's private sector, however, has recovered 115 percent of the jobs lost during the same economic downturn.
