Connecticut, New York Police Search for “Bad Batch” of Heroin

Authorities in Connecticut and New York are searching for what they call a "bad batch" of heroin after several overdoses, including one that was fatal.

The News-Times of Danbury reports
that Carmel, New York Police Chief Michael Johnson initiated a call for cooperation on Monday among police agencies in the area.

His department fielded calls for three overdoses over the weekend, he said.

A Mahopac, New York, man died at his home. He was not identified.

A fourth, non-fatal, overdose was reported in Carmel about two weeks ago. Johnson said all the victims were men in their 20s.

He said state police in New York and Connecticut will likely share information from a task force investigation.
