Connecticut has trapped its first mosquito of the season to test positive for West Nile Virus.
The mosquito was trapped on July 8 at Churchill Park in Newington.
The state has tested more than 60,000 mosquitoes since mid-June. So far, none have tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
