Connecting You to Caring: Hurricane Matthew Relief

We know you are thinking about family, friends and strangers who are in the path of, or who have already been affected by Hurricane Matthew.

NBC Connecticut is proud to connect you with a way to help those devastated by Hurricane Matthew.

On Monday, Oct. 10, NBC Connecticut and the American Red Cross will be accepting your tax-deductible monetary donations at three Big Y Supermarket locations across Connecticut. Come meet the NBC Connecticut team from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To direct your donation specifically to Hurricane Matthew Relief, checks must be made out to American Red Cross, with “Hurricane Matthew Relief” written in the memo line. Only cash and checks will be accepted.

Come to these Big Y Supermarkets between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.:

  • Big Y, 533 South Broad St., Meriden
  • Big Y, 234 Tolland Turnpike, Manchester
  • Big Y, 85 Bridge St., Naugatuck

If you can’t get to one of these locations, you can still help by donating through the Red Cross website here.

You can also donate by text, mail, or phone here.
