Cops Make Arrest in Cab Driver Stabbing

Police have arrested a 23-year-old Windsor man accused in the stabbing of a cab driver in Windsor early Wednesday morning.

Police said the cab driver picked Joshua Lumpkin up the area of High Path Road and Kennedy Road in Windsor at 3:05 a.m. and Lumpkin tried to rob him. 

During a struggle, Lumpkin stabbed the driver in the side and the hand, police said.

The driver underwent surgery. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Lumpkin was charged with first-degree assault and first-degree attempted robbery. He is being held on $250,000 bond and will appear in court on Friday, Nov. 12
