1 Dead After Crash on I-91 South in South Windsor

A West Haven woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 91 south in South Windsor Friday.

Connecticut State Police said 59-year-old Joy Deloge was driving in the right lane around 11:45 a.m. when she rear-ended a Hyundai traveling in front of her. Deloge’s car then hit a guardrail, spun across the other lanes of traffic, crashed into concrete barrier in the median and collided with a Ford. The Ford then crashed into tractor-trailer.

Deloge was taken to Hartford Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The people in the Hyundai and Ford were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.

The highway was closed for several hours for investigation.

The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses should contact Connecticut State Police Troop H at 860-534-1000.
