Driver Suffers Serious Injuries in Crash on Route 6 in Bristol: Police

The driver of a car involved in the crash that shut down part of Farmington Avenue in Bristol Thursday morning has life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The crash happened at Farmington Avenue, also known as Route 6, and Collins Road around 4:30 a.m. and police said the driver of the vehicle was the only person in the car.

He suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to police.

The Bristol Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and took over the investigation of the crash.
