Whitney Avenue in Hamden has reopened after a crash closed part of it on Monday morning, but the road could close again as crews repair a damaged utility pole.
Police said a car hit a pole at the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Colonial Drive around 4:45 a.m.
The road reopened around 6 a.m., however, the road could close again later in the morning while repairs are made.
According to officers, repairs will take several hours because there are a lot of electrical wires on the damaged pole.
No power outages are reported in the area.
Nobody was injured in the crash, police said.
