East Hampton Man Killed in Route 66 Crash in Hebron

A 65-year-old East Hampton man was killed in a crash on Route 66 in Hebron on Thursday.

Police said Thomas Bartlett, 65, of East Hampton, and Brooke Thyrring, 28, of Colchester, collided near Stone House Road around 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Bartlett died at the scene.

Thyrring was flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital with what police called "significant" injuries.

Route 66 was closed for several hours as police responded.
