A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a fixed object has closed part of Interstate 84 east in Waterbury on Monday.
State Dept. of Transportation officials said the right and center lanes of the highway are closed between exits 22 and 23.
Authorities have not released details about what the tractor-trailer crashed into.
There is currently over three miles of congestion in the area.

It's unclear if anyone is injured in the crash.
There's no word on when the highway will fully reopen.
