A fire damaged apartments in a mixed use building in Hartford on Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the building on Franklin Avenue around 6:30 a.m.
The fire was in the rear porch on the third floor of a three story building, fire officials said. The building has a law firm on the first floor and apartments above it.
The heavy fire in the rear of the building extended to the roof line and to the second floor porch. The third floor was occupied at the time of the fire, authorities said.
It's unclear how many people are displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
