Fire officials are working to determine what sparked a fire that caused extensive damage to a restaurant in Southington on Tuesday night.
Crews were called to the Mamma Mia restaurant on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike after getting a report of a fire.
Firefighters said the fire came from a kitchen vent and heavy smoke was going up into the second floor.
It's not clear what caused the fire or when it will be able to reopen.
