Several fire departments were called in to help during a hazmat situation when smoke and vapor cloud formed at a manufacturing facility Thursday night.
The Hamden Fire Department was among those who provided mutual aid.
Hamden said their hazmat technicians assembled a decontamination line at the scene.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) also responded.
They said some floric acid had spilled the previous night, it was packaged up in a drum and the chemicals in the drum became contaminated.
A heat reaction caused the drum of material to melt, which created a cloud of smoke and vapor in the building, according to DEEP.

The drum of chemicals extinguished itself.
Clean Harbors, Inc. was brought in to help with cleaning up.
No injuries were reported.
