Crews Working to Fix Propane Leak in Stafford

Route 32 in Stafford will be closed until this evening after a minor leak from a 30,000 gallon propane tank.

Emergency crews responded to fix the leak from a large tank on Route 32 in Stafford, just south of Route 190, after a valve of tank broke off.

It will require four empty tankers to offload the 30,000 gallons, officials said.

Route 32 is closed between the Route 190 rotary and Plains Road in Tolland and could remain closed until around 9 p.m.

Eversource has been called to the scene to disconnect power.

The tank is located on a commercial property and officials said a railroad track is shut down.
