Seymour Grandmother Missing in Vermont

A Seymour grandmother who now lives in Vermont is missing and authorities believe she might have been abducted.

Mary Patricia Hanley O'Hagan, 78, was last seen on Sept. 9 and reported missing the next day, the Hartford Courant reports.

A friend realized O'Hagan was missing when she stopped by her Sheffield, Vermont, house to pick her up for a rug hooking class, the Courant reports.

Investigators are puzzled as to what might have happened.

FBI agents and Vermont state police are on the case and authorities have searched a quarry near her home, but to no avail.

O'Hagan's father, the late Ed Hanley, owned Vincent Jewelry on Bank Street in Seymour, reports the Courant. He died in 1986 from injuries he suffered during a robbery in his store.
