Woman Accused of Embezzling from Car Dealership

A car dealership is out more than $200,000 after a woman embezzled the funds, police said. Anna Roberts, 60, surrendered to local police after learning there was a warrant for her arrest, the Connecticut Post reports


Drug Bust Close to Schools

Police in West Hartford have charged two men with operating a drug ring within 1,500 feet of two schools. Police raided two homes, one on Rosedale Road near Solomon Schechter school, the other on Sidney Avenue, opposite the Charter Oak School. Benjamin Sousa and Ryan Ericksson are facing multiple charges, including operating a drug factory. Police said they seized 85 ounces of marijuana, hundreds of Oxycodone pills and $30,000.


Police Officer Charged in Drunken Driving

A Seymour police officer has been arrested. Meredith Shook, 33, is facing DUI charges, as well as endangering the welfare of a child. Shook was off duty on Jan. 15, when she hit a guard rail along Derby Avenue, police said. The department is releasing no further information about the incident.
