Hartford Homicide

Hartford police are investigating a homicide in the North End. A man, who had been shot twice, was found at 250 Homestead Ave. Tuesday afternoon, police said. He was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital. Police have not released his name.


Danielson Woman Killed in Crash

An 83-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Danielson. Aline Gibeault of Brooklyn died after her car was hit by a truck on Killingly Avenue Tuesday, state police said. Gibeault was taken to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam where she was pronounced dead. Her 88-year-old husband was injured in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.


Campus Assault Reported at UConn

UConn police are searching for the person who assaulted a woman in broad daylight Tuesday. It happened in an agricultural field along Horsebarn Hill Road, police said. The woman said a man with a handgun approached her from behind. The victim was able to get away after a short scuffle and the man ran into the woods.
