DMV Demands 3M Provides More Resources, Funds to Fixing System Issues

The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles issued a demand for 3M to provide more resources and funds to fix the ongoing computer system issues affects registration and causing major delays at its offices.

On Thursday, DMV Commissioner Michael Bzdyra requested 3M officials immediately provide more resources to resolve the issue. The corporation said it will be providing more hardware and software experts in Connecticut on Friday to assist with the ongoing issue. 

While the DMV said it will dissolve its contract with 3M, the corporation is still responsible to fix the registration system and complete this phase of the contract. 

3M said it does not know the stem of the system problems, the DMV said in a statement.
